PosterMELD: Multi-Agent System for Paper-to-Poster Generation
Haojie Hu · hf · 2026-08-05
PosterMELD is a template-conditioned multi-agent pipeline designed to convert long multimodal academic papers into readable and editable posters.
- Core Mechanism: It uses capacity-aware slots to guide writing before rendering, and routes failed requests to bounded repair via deterministic gates and Vision-Language Model (VLM) reviews.
- Output & Control: It exports editable PPTX and PNG formats, allowing for the generation of diverse variants from the same paper through explicit design controls.
- Performance: Tested across 621 papers, it achieved an 81.3% Print-Ready Rate (PRR), which is 3.4 times that of P2P and 5.2 times that of PosterGen. It retains native editability and explicit design controls at an average cost of $0.38 per request (3.5% of the cost of Codex+Skill).
