GE Appliances announced it will integrate US-manufactured microcontrollers, Wi-Fi connectivity solutions, and analog components from Texas Instruments (TI) into its next generation of connected appliances.

These chips will supply one-third of the semiconductors for products made at GE Appliances' new laundry plant in Louisville, Kentucky, with production expected to begin in 2027. The move aims to support domestic supply chain goals and provide higher power efficiency and embedded AI features for its latest appliances.
