A group of prominent AI researchers and scholars have jointly launched Pax Machina, a new publication dedicated to proposing and debating the institutions needed for a world with powerful AI.
The platform argues that while much attention is paid to aligning or regulating AI, society treats existing institutions as fixed. Pax Machina aims to seed rigorous debate by publishing proposals and counterproposals for new institutional frameworks, ensuring humans remain in control as AI fundamentally reshapes our capabilities.
