mariorod1 · x · 2026-08-04
GitHub announced that Copilot cloud agents can now be automated using issue or pull request comments.
By configuring specific comment text, users can automatically trigger several workflows:
- Generate documentation: Comment on a PR to auto-generate or update docs based on code changes.
- Investigate errors: Comment on an issue to trigger an analysis of stack traces or error logs.
- Create follow-up tasks: Comment on a PR to have an automation create follow-up issues for refactoring.
The feature is currently available for Copilot Pro, Pro+, Max, Business, and Enterprise users.
