SK hynix, in collaboration with SanDisk, has unveiled the new High Bandwidth Flash (HBF) standard, designed to resolve memory bottlenecks during AI inference.
Targeting an impressive bandwidth of up to 3TB/s, the new standard aims to significantly improve inference efficiency for large models. While the community hopes this will enable faster local model execution, there are concerns that the initial hardware costs might be prohibitive for average consumers.
