Managing 100k AI Generations: Open-Source DAM Adds AI-Powered Natural Language Search
Fit-Construction-280 · reddit · 2026-08-04
As AI-generated content multiplies, creators face severe file management bottlenecks. A developer open-sourced SmartGallery DAM, specifically designed to manage massive amounts of AI images and videos.
Beyond retaining complete generation metadata and workflows, the tool introduces OmniQuery: users can describe requests in plain English (e.g., "find SDXL images from Christmas rated above 3 stars"), and an AI assistant generates the database query. For safety, the system strictly allows only SELECT queries.
It also supports reproducing past generations, creating variants, injecting LoRAs, and managing client approval workflows directly within the gallery.
