Meta and AST SpaceMobile Partner to Explore Satellite WhatsApp and Space Edge Computing

Meta and satellite communications company AST SpaceMobile have initiated a partnership, holding an intensive technical and product workshop at Meta's San Francisco office.
The collaboration focuses on: bringing WhatsApp to AST's satellite network for global users; exploring space edge capabilities and laser backbone technologies; and achieving seamless integration between satellite and terrestrial networks with cloud connectivity.
