Embodied AI startup Poke Robotics announced the completion of an over $100 million Pre-A funding round led by Shunwei Capital and Matrix Partners China. This marks the startup's second funding round within four months of its establishment, focusing on general-purpose robots for consumer home scenarios.
Founder and CEO Xu Huazhe (Assistant Professor at Tsinghua University) previously co-founded Xinghaitu, an embodied AI unicorn valued at over $20 billion. Liu Shuo, former head of commercial management for Meituan UAV, has also joined as a commercial partner.
Technologically, Poke is building a general embodied intelligence system. It proposed the UAG architecture to boost training efficiency and has completed the initial training of its first-generation 32B parameter embodied world model. In June, the company released the world's first real-robot demonstration of a robot independently completing a long-horizon Chinese cooking task (Mapo Tofu).
