Open-Source LoRA for Satellite Image Editing Uses AI to Auto-Generate Training Data
LimitlessSaint · reddit · 2026-08-04
A developer has open-sourced SatEdit, a LoRA trained specifically for mask-conditioned satellite image editing. The most impressive part of the project is its semi-autonomous data generation pipeline, designed to explore if foundation models can generate training data for other models.
The pipeline uses SAM2 for segmentation, a VLM for segment labeling, a lightweight human verification step, and Inpainting to generate paired editing examples.
The repository includes the complete training and dataset generation code, along with ComfyUI workflows.
