Reacting to this, Miles Brundage highlighted a critical internal gap: despite long-standing discussions, only about 20 out of >1000 researchers at OpenAI are focused on critical alignment and control (RSI). He argued that leadership must urgently shift priorities away from less critical projects to bridge this gap before AGI arrives, as hiring alone won't suffice.
