Berlin AI Meetup: Framework-Free Agents and Applied NLP
hugobowne · x · 2026-08-04
An AI tech meetup will be held at JetBrains in Berlin on August 10, focusing on AI agents, applied NLP, and coding assistants.
The event features two core talks and lightning demos:
- Applied NLP: Ines Montani will explore how to use ideas from coding assistants (like MCP servers) to help build modular, data-private NLP systems. The core idea is "use LLMs to help build the system, instead of making the LLM the entire system."
- Effective AI Agents: Hugo Bowne-Anderson will share how to build practical agents without the hangover of heavy frameworks, breaking down the essential loops, tools, memory, and feedback mechanisms.
