Live voice in Codex changes academic research workflows
A researcher says Codex’s live voice mode has transformed how they work on a PhD project. In the demo, Codex:
- opens notes from an Obsidian vault
- searches for papers in Zotero
- pulls evidence together
- answers questions by voice
- creates a new linked note without typing
After two weeks, they say they’ve almost stopped typing and can keep the conversation going from a phone, even while driving long distances. They describe the experience as less like using software and more like talking to a knowledgeable senior colleague who understands their research.
