Google adds simultaneous Maps and Search tool use to Gemini 3.5 and 3.6 Flash

Google says Gemini API now lets developers use the Google Maps and Google Search tools at the same time with Gemini 3.5 Flash and 3.6 Flash.
The update had been on the backlog for a long time, and the poster says it has now landed. It is a small but practical API capability change for tool-using workflows.
