Developer Open-Sources Tool to Auto-Resume AI Coding Sessions After Crashes
doodlestein · x · 2026-08-04
Frustrated by power outages repeatedly killing his local AI coding sessions, a developer built powerfailureresumer (pfr).
The tool automates the tedious recovery process: it detects interrupted terminal sessions, navigates to the correct project directory, and resumes the session in Claude Code or Codex while preserving the original model and effort settings. It significantly smooths out local AI agent workflows.
