Leak says Rubin Ultra may ship with lower HBM capacity but unchanged performance

A report circulating in the semiconductor industry says Rubin Ultra may be shipping with a down-specced HBM configuration compared with Rubin.
- Memory is said to change from HBM4 12-high to HBM4 8-high.
- Per-GPU capacity would drop from 288GB to 192GB, while bandwidth is cited at 20–21TB/s.
- The leak also mentions scale-up size changing from 72 to 576 GPUs and SKU power targets of 1.8kW and 2.6kW.
- The lower-power variant is described as the mainstream, energy-efficient option; the 2.6kW part is framed as the max-performance version.
