The consumer version of Gemini Code Assist on GitHub is being sunset, and the uninstall instructions point to the wrong place.
- According to the official docs shown in the image, new installations stop on June 18, 2026.
- The consumer version shuts down on July 17, 2026, ending all code review activity.
- The post also points out that Google’s uninstall guide links to the wrong GitHub settings page: the app lives under Applications, not Developer settings → GitHub Apps.
