Exa says its web index has 80B pages and is on track for Google-scale in 2027

Exa says it has become one of the largest indexes on the web: 80B pages, 1.4T tracked URLs, and a path to Google-scale by early 2027.

The company estimates Google at about 1T pages, Bing at 500B, Yandex at 200B, and Brave at 40B. It also says agent traffic is unusually expensive because deep searches fan out into many sub-searches, and that the web has so much junk that crawlers must index far more than they serve.
