Comfy Cloud Team plan gets stuck, leaving paying users unable to run workflows
Sufficient_You_1149 · reddit · 2026-08-04
A user reports that upgrading Comfy Cloud to the Team plan on launch day left the workspace permanently stuck: the editor still shows "Subscribe to Run", the API rejects every job with "Subscription required to queue workflows", and billing pages contradict each other.
What the user tested
- The lockout affects both open-source GPU templates and Partner Node templates.
- Attempting to downgrade triggers "Another subscription change is already in progress", suggesting the original Stripe update never completed.
- Support acknowledged and escalated the ticket, but after 11 days the user still cannot run workflows, invite teammates, or cancel cleanly.
The broader complaint
- There is no self-service recovery path.
- Billing, bug reports, email, and Discord appear to go to separate queues.
- The UI never explains that the subscription change is pending or failed, so users are left assuming the mistake is theirs.
