Minimax H3 test shows fast video generation on a 4060 Ti and 128 GB RAM
The author shared a hands-on test of Minimax H3, saying it was a fun demo and that the model understood the intended prompt well.
- Hardware: RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB plus 128 GB system RAM.
- Most clips took about 3 minutes to generate.
- Output resolution was around 0.4 MP at 20 steps.
- The author says the workflow seems to offload part of the model into system memory, which may explain the lower quality and slower render times.
- They tried int4, but results were poor, so they used int8 convrot and guff q4 for the 32B clip model, with a standard VAE.
