UNAM’s fully remote entrance exam, supervised by AI webcam proctoring, went so badly that 58,000 students must retake it.
Nearly 160,000 applicants took the test this summer. The results were wildly inconsistent with prior years: 16.3% scored 100 or above, versus just 3.5% across 2021–2025, pointing to a major breakdown in exam integrity.
