Marigold launches as a chemistry agent that runs literature search and calculations

Y Combinator reposts the launch of Marigold, a chemistry assistant that takes plain-language tasks and then pulls literature, reads files, chooses tools, runs calculations on its own machine, and returns the results with reasoning.
The demo pitch emphasizes that chemistry software is fragmented, so Marigold acts as a coordinator across structure prediction, route planning, spectrum reading, and cluster job submission.
It also says the product can use a company’s own cluster and model endpoints so data stays in-house.
