EU AI Act guidance requires labeling AI-generated content and bots
The image summarizes new EU guidance under the AI Act, saying that from Aug. 2:
- AI-generated content must carry a machine-readable mark.
- Deepfakes and AI text on public-interest topics must be visibly labeled.
- Chatbots and virtual agents must clearly disclose that they are not human.
- Companies must tell users when AI is actively analyzing them.
The post frames this as a move to reduce uncertainty about whether what people see or interact with is real.
