Super Mario 64 demo on Vision Pro turns the screen into a portal
pvncher · x · 2026-08-04
A developer demo shows Super Mario 64 running natively on Vision Pro in multiple viewing modes, including a normal 2D window, stereoscopic 3D, a portal-like view into the game world, third-person VR, and fully immersive VR.
The poster says this is a proof of concept for what XR gaming on headsets could look like: the screen becomes a portal, and existing games can feel much more immersive without major changes to the original content.
