Copper launches a $39 Mac app to capture prompts and ideas across ChatGPT and Cursor

shadcn · x · 2026-08-04

Copper is a new Mac app built for AI-assisted work. It combines a to-do list, clipboard, and scratchpad so users can capture prompts, links, and ideas across ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, and Chrome with a quick shortcut.

The app is local-first: it does not sync data, does not require an account, and stores notes in a local file on the user’s Mac. It is selling for $39 at launch, with a price increase to $49 next week.
