Augment Code says GPT-5.6 Sol is now the default model in Cosmos after testing eight models in eight weeks on real long-horizon software development tasks.
The company says Sol cleared its quality bar while being the most token-efficient option for the engineering loops teams run in Cosmos, its agent orchestration platform. Users can still choose other models, and Cosmos Advisor can pick a model when needed.
