Recent data from Hugging Face reveals that Claude Code has become the dominant coding agent on the platform.
- Traffic Surge: In May, Claude Code was the top agent on only 4 out of 30 days. By July, it topped the charts on all 30 days.
- Majority Share: It now sends the majority of all traffic the Hub can attribute to a named agent.
The author speculates whether open-weight models and open harnesses will catch up in August.
