A developer benchmarked the popular open-source video generation models Wan 2.2 and LTX 2.3 using the same prompt.
Under identical settings (720p resolution, 5 seconds duration):
- LTX 2.3 generated the video in under 45 seconds at 24fps, resulting in an 8.94 MB file.
- Wan 2.2 took about 4 minutes to generate at 16fps, with a smaller file size of 2.78 MB.
The author also conducted broader evaluations across other open-source models like HunyuanVideo and CogVideoX, open-sourcing the detailed test data.
