Facebook Caught Uploading Unposted Photos for AI Analysis

A user on X warned that a Facebook setting called "Camera Roll Cloud Processing" automatically uploads photos from users' phones to Meta's servers, even if they are never posted.

The AI system then analyzes these images to identify faces, locations, and events. This includes sensitive data like screenshots, photos of children, and documents. Users are advised to turn off the feature in their settings immediately.
