Interconnects (Nathan Lambert) · rss · 2026-08-03
Interconnects has announced two new free data projects to track the open model ecosystem: Artifacts Hub and Adoption Dashboard.
- Artifacts Hub: Developed in collaboration with AI verification startup Project VAIL, it curates 792 core models released over the past two years. It integrates Hugging Face downloads, OpenRouter inference tokens, and Artificial Analysis intelligence indices to help users compare actual adoption metrics and capability gaps.
- Adoption Dashboard: A living dashboard tracking download and derivative model numbers by geography and organization. It specifically highlights the US-vs-China gap and emerging players in the open ecosystem.
These tools aim to provide the open-source community with transparent data to identify the most cost-effective ways to deploy open models.
