Claude Code Dominates Hugging Face Traffic, Driving Majority of AI Coding Agent Activity

Hugging Face data reveals that AI coding agents are a rapidly growing user base for the Hub, with Anthropic's Claude Code holding a massive lead.
- Traffic Surge: In May, Claude Code was the top agent on only 4 out of 30 days. By July, it ranked first on all 30 days.
- Majority Share: It now sends the majority of all traffic the Hub can attribute to a named coding agent.
The author speculates whether open-weight models and open harnesses will catch up in August.
