Turing Award Winner Predicts AI Will Replace Travel Agencies by Year-End

Turing Award winner David Patterson shared his timeline for when AI might replace complex human businesses. He predicts that a basic version of AI capable of replacing travel agencies will be possible by the end of this year.
Patterson noted that if AI can handle the complexities of a travel agency, it will be capable of replacing almost any business. He expects that by 2028–2030, AI systems will be both better and faster than human travel agents.
