Gemini Video Generation Backlash: AI Pro Subscribers Get Fewer Credits Than Free Users

A Reddit user revealed a severe flaw in Google Gemini AI's credit logic for video generation. According to Google's official rules: free users get 50 credits per day (totaling 1,500 per month), while AI Pro subscribers paying $19.99/month only receive 1,000 credits for the entire month.
Even more bizarrely, once a user upgrades to the paid plan, their remaining daily free credits are immediately forfeited. This means paying subscribers actually get fewer total video generation attempts per month than free-tier users. The pricing structure has sparked intense frustration among creators regarding how AI platforms are pricing heavy GPU workloads.
