Ribbit Capital Founder: AI Has Not Yet Attached to the Layer of Value
damianplayer · x · 2026-08-03
Micky Malka, founder of Ribbit Capital, introduces the concept of companies as "token factories," requiring inputs of information, money, and knowledge to deliver new outputs. He argues that delivering anything requires three components: identity, value, and intelligence.
He notes that frontier AI labs currently dominate the "intelligence" aspect by ingesting the web and selling the output. However, the flow of "value" (money) remains largely disconnected from AI. Despite years of development, AI has not yet truly integrated into the global movement of money.
