EU AI Act Transparency Rules Take Effect: Fines Up to €15M

The transparency regulations of the EU AI Act have officially taken effect. The new rules mandate that users must be informed when interacting with chatbots. Additionally, AI-generated deepfakes, texts, and images must be clearly labeled, and the use of emotion recognition systems must be disclosed. Non-compliance could result in fines of up to €15 million or 3% of a company's global turnover.
