3D Engine Optimization: Zero-Parsing Binary Format Loads 3,777 Assets in 1.4s
gdechichi · x · 2026-08-03
Developer @gdechichi demonstrated the asset loading optimization of their custom 3D engine. By using a highly optimized binary format, 3D models and animations require zero parsing, making loading an asset as fast as reading a file.
In a real-world test, the engine successfully imported 3,777 publicly available high-quality 3D assets in just 1.4 seconds. This optimization not only drastically improves loading speed but also significantly reduces storage footprint.
