Users report that ChatGPT overly aggressively triggers DALL-E image generation when asked to help write prompts for external tools. Even with explicit "text only" instructions, the model violates rules after a few messages, launching the bulky image UI and disrupting the chat flow. Creating a custom GPT with image generation disabled failed to fix the issue.
