NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang recently shared his views on US-China AI competition. He explicitly stated that he hopes the US will not ban Chinese AI models, arguing that the world needs both open and closed models. He also discussed backdoors, regulation, and China as an adversary, acknowledging that Nvidia's sales in China have dropped to zero.
Furthermore, cited data reveals a massive shift in model usage: US models' token share on OpenRouter dropped from 70% a year ago to roughly 30%, with DeepSeek emerging as the single biggest provider on the platform.
