Repairing Humanoid Robots Highlights Lack of US Hardware Mfg Ecosystem

Roboticist Heather Knight shared an anecdote about the repair ecosystem for humanoid robots. After forgetting her robot charger, local workshops in Turkey manufactured a new one to spec in under 24 hours. She noted that bringing these foundational manufacturing and repair skills back to the US would greatly benefit the robotics industry.
This follows a comment from another company suggesting that the best humanoid robot repair businesses are those whose core model involves breaking/fighting them, giving them unmatched repair experience across various models.
