Enterprise AI's Real Bottleneck: Scattered Data and Permissions, Not Model Intelligence

The author points out that despite continuous improvements in LLMs, enterprise AI applications are universally hindered by data silos. Corporate knowledge is often scattered across PDFs, Word docs, shared drives, emails, and cloud storage. Even the smartest model is useless if it cannot securely retrieve and access the right information.
Consequently, content management and granular permission controls are becoming just as critical as the AI model itself, and may even dictate the success of enterprise AI adoption.
