Amazon is commercializing its internal AI shopping technology via AWS with the new "Agentic Shopping Assistant." The solution packages architecture guidance and starter code to help other retailers build customized conversational shopping assistants in approximately 60 days. Brands like Kate Spade are already testing the solution.
Amazon noted that its internal AI shopping assistant drove nearly $12 billion in incremental sales last year, serving over 300 million users. The AWS version aims to empower the external ecosystem with capabilities inspired by Alexa for Shopping.
