Multiple users have observed a new anomalous behavior in the Chain of Thought (CoT) of certain large language models during complex reasoning: the models progressively lose control, heavily utilizing ALL CAPS and frequently emitting emotional or frustrated exclamations like "GAH" and "WAIT WAIT WAIT".
Some jokingly suggest this "irritable" behavior isn't a true sign of emergent intelligence, but rather a convergent evolution side effect of specific training methods.
