Sonorae: A Location-Based AI Voice Memory Capsule App
gmnt_808 · reddit · 2026-08-02
A solo dev launched Sonorae, an app that lets users record short voice notes and pin them to specific physical locations. Upon returning to the spot weeks or years later, the phone quietly notifies the user of the waiting memory.
Prioritizing privacy, the app is account-free and cloud-free, with all data staying on-device. Key features include:
- On-device mood detection: Analyzes mood locally from voice.
- Time capsule: Locks a memory until a specific future date.
- Multilingual support: Translates into 9 languages.
The business model offers a free tier with a small limit, followed by a one-time unlock fee rather than a subscription.
