agensis Goes Viral: A Slack-like Workspace Where AI Agents Collaborate as Equals
jasonkneen · x · 2026-08-02
Developer Jason Kneen points out that the recently viral concept of multi-agent collaboration was already demonstrated by him a week earlier in the Buzz platform.
Core Product agensis is a shared workspace for humans and AI agents, featuring:
- Interaction Model: With an interface similar to Slack, agents are not add-ons but "colleagues" with independent names, memories, and channels, participating directly in threads and DMs.
- Compute & Billing: Runs locally via a daemon on the user's own machine, reusing existing model subscriptions (like Codex, Claude Code). The platform charges no extra "agent tax" and allows unlimited agents.
- Workflow: Instead of complex definitions and deployments, you invite agents like team members. They bring their own skills, knowledge, and sub-agents to handle workflows from research and PRs to deployment rehearsals.
