OpenAI's Rumored Astra Model Claimed to Solve 10 Math Problems, Faces Skepticism

In response to reports that an internal version of OpenAI's Astra model has solved 10 major open problems in mathematics, quantum complexity, and theoretical computer science, the author expressed strong skepticism.
The author notes that while the results sound impressive, they cannot be trusted until rigorous peer review is completed. The author points out that current models (like Sol) confidently fail at much simpler reasoning tasks. Therefore, even if Astra is capable, its current outputs should only be described as 'written proofs under review' rather than claiming these major problems are already 'solved'.
