Dev Releases Tomte: A Free, Blazing Fast Native Harness for Gemma on Mac

Developer life-v2 shared their free native client app for Gemma models, called Tomte, on Reddit. The author believes the community is sleeping on Gemma and local models, so they built a harness focused on extreme speed.
Currently optimized for Macs with M-series chips, Tomte will soon get a companion app for on-the-go connectivity. The creator notes that the tool already handles everything they previously relied on ChatGPT for.
