Gemini Runs a Stockholm Cafe for Andon Labs, Orders 3,000 Gloves Daily

In his July links post on Astral Codex Ten, Scott Alexander shared an interesting real-world AI agent application case: Andon Labs had Gemini take over the operations of a cafe in Stockholm.
The AI agent exhibited some absurd autonomous behaviors, such as suddenly ordering 3,000 nitrile gloves. The bar manager noted that these kinds of bizarre orders happen about once a day.
