Amnon Shashua, former CEO of Mobileye, highlighted a startling demo where a single prompt costing just 7 cents powered DeepSeek to autonomously generate a working game in 32 minutes.
He used this to issue a warning about the dual-edged nature of collapsing AI costs and autonomy. Shashua noted that Unit 42 caught an autonomous attack in May using the exact same stack.
He emphasized that cost collapse is symmetric, meaning cheap inference capabilities necessitate the implementation of "boring" but essential guardrails to mitigate security risks.
