Benchmark Showdown: Google Opal Beats Devin in Full-Stack App Dev in 45 Seconds
SimplyAnnisa · x · 2026-08-01
A developer compared the app development capabilities of Google Opal and Devin (Windsurf) using the same prompt: building an interactive 8-team Premier League tournament bracket application.
The results showed that Google Opal completed the fully interactive process in just 45 seconds with zero visible code via a visual node pipeline. Devin took 2 minutes and 21 seconds, and although it self-debugged a 404 error, the final generated app only featured a static bracket.
