Turin Robotics, a subsidiary of China Baowu, has introduced a heavy-duty wheeled humanoid robot designed for the harsh environments of steel plants. The robot targets handling and sampling tasks in areas with high heat, dust, vibration, and heavy loads.
Standing 1.8 meters tall and weighing 320 kg, it can carry 30 kg with both arms and features 22 DoF. Its industrial-grade control achieves ±0.5 mm precision, while the wheeled base ensures stability on rough floors. The robot will integrate with existing factory systems like MES and ERP, working alongside AI agents to take over dangerous 3D jobs in boiler rooms and converter areas.
