An Indian startup founder complains on X that their import of two Nvidia Jetson boards for prototyping has been held at customs for two weeks. Customs demands EPR, WPC, and BIS certificates, which are not applicable to their internal R&D use. Despite multiple responses, they were rejected and must meet the customs officer in person. This highlights India's hardware startup hurdles, with a reply recalling AMD's failed $3B fab investment in 2005 due to customs issues.
